GivingTuesday is Here: How To Participate in the Global Generosity Movement

Altum connects givers with doers to accelerate research outcomes. Today is a day for all of us to be givers. GivingTuesday is global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world.

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.  It is now the world’s largest giving movement that can grow faster when we come together for generosity.

People demonstrate generosity in many ways on GivingTuesday. Whether it’s helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving to causes we care about, every act of generosity counts. Their mission is to build a more just and generous world.

Recent giving data shows that in 2020 people are very motivated to give and are giving more in response to needs in the community and for causes they care about.  During these times of economic uncertainty, we must remember that we still have our kindness, time, skills, and voice that we can give.  Let’s come together to thank, help, give, show kindness, and share what we have with those in need.
