Tuesday Tip: Use Altum Insights To See How Your Funding Compares to Others

Welcome back to our series, Tuesday Tips! Let’s talk about Altum Insights – the new search and visualization tool that allows you to see the connections between your funding and the creation of new knowledge.

A topic search will show you all the grants that have been made in that topic area along a timeline. You will see how your organization’s funding compares to other entities. It will allow you to ascertain if your funding is smaller, larger, increasing, or declining relative to other funding providers. This is useful when determining which areas may require additional support or less.

Released in the first quarter of 2021, Altum Insights is a search and visualization tool that enables research funders to see the connections and outcomes of their grants and awardees.

Altum Insights connects the dots between programs, grants, patents, clinical trials, publications – and now patent applications and research data – presenting a complete picture of funding impact.

Grant makers and institutions can instantly see how much has been funded in each area of focus, which programs and publications are linked to each award, and all the outputs resulted from their funding.
